This week the Texas PUC released a smart meter fact sheet — joining other voices such as the Environmental Defense Fund in communicating the overwhelming evidence that smart meters do not cause health issues.
In an earlier post I highlighted the National Research Council study which many believe delivered a “definitive” conclusion on this issue. After reviewing 500 experiments, studies and analyses, NRC concluded that exposure to residential RF emissions, including from smart meters, does not cause cancer or otherwise threaten human health.
The new Texas PUC fact sheet notes that smart meter RF signals are “at least ten times below the [Federal Communications Commission] standard” which was set to “prevent serious health impact from exposure to RF.”
