eMeter offers a proven methodology, SmartStart, which is flexible enough to use on a Proof of Concept, and comprehensive enough to use on a full production rollout. To provide this degree of versatility, SmartStart is designed with four phases that can be customized to meet your business needs.
During this phase, an eMeter Solutions Engineer will be onsite to install EnergyIP on required test systems. One key to success is an EnergyIP “Sandbox” environment to run requirement workshops, which is set up using best practice configuration settings.
eMeter conducts workshops to determine configuration settings for all meter functions and integrations. This allows you, eMeter, and the other vendors to understand all of the end-to-end business processes and the dependencies in each part of the solution.
Complete testing is essential to ensure a successful, failure-free implementation. eMeter offers assistance in conducting a comprehensive, end-to-end testing program with Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, and Production Environment Setup.
The Production Cutover phase will bring the technical and business work streams of the project together, as you begin in a production environment. Your team will work with the eMeter technical team to plan and validate a successful production transition that will be turned over to the data center operations team for on-going production support and monitoring.
