Field Service
The Field Service module automates preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, field service order initiation, tracking, and management, and service history tracking. When a field order is required to investigate or correct a meter or service problem, Field Service can automatically initiate the order request to utility work management systems. Based on utility business rules, this automated function may first generate an approval request before sending a field order to the system.
EnergyIP™ enables users to check status and track progress of field maintenance activities associated with meters and AMI data collection nodes. Users can manually create and assign service requests, which may have several activities that in turn initiate field orders in the utility Work Management System via the WMS Adapter. When a field order is completed, EnergyIP captures results data and links it with the appropriate field device to track maintenance activities.
Specific Field Service reports are configured during implementation to meet utility business process requirements. Field Service can identify and report trends such as multiple service requests, number and types of service requests, and outcomes or failures over specified time periods. Users can also reconcile maintenance and other charges from third party field service providers with reports by service request, activity, or outcome type.
