Founder & CTO, eMeter
“The Smart Grid is a kind of ecosystem. It thrives when diverse players contribute specialized functions and work together, unimpeded, for the maximum efficiency of the whole system.”
One industry buzzword Larsh Johnson believes in is “Interoperability”. At eMeter he has always advocated for a design that is easily integrated with a full range of AMI products and minimally disruptive to existing business processes. Larsh is regularly sought out to contribute to industry standards boards and interoperability conferences, notably as a founding member of the GridWise Architecture Council, the Utility Standards Board, and UtiliMetrics.
Larsh combined his technical foresight with Cree Edwards’ vision to co-found CellNet Data Systems in 1984. He’s been leading developers in implementing TOU and other advanced metering solutions for over 20 years.
Larsh has a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
