Toronto Hydro Electric System Limited (THESL)

Toronto Hydro Electric System is one of the largest municipal electric distribution utilities in Canada. eMeter is providing product and implementation services related to an Operational Data Store (ODS) as required to support THESL's integrated business processes. THESL business processes require that this ODS software product support operational data and processes that permit the automation of work processes related to meter installations and repairs, meter asset management and energy consumption information as integrated with billing, customer inquiries and distribution system operations and engineering.

The ODS integrates into the system that links CIS (Customer Information System), AMCCs (Advanced Metering Control Computers), Mobile Data, EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and other THESL systems in support of business operations as they come to exist with the increasing use of commercial interval and residential smart metering.

EnergyIP is implemented as an ODS for residential and commercial interval data, virtualized interface to the centralized MDM/R, customer presentment data management and demand response program management. Additionally, THESL plans to migrate their large C&I interval data collection, processing and complex billing applications to EnergyIP.
