CPS Energy, a community-owned non-profit utility that serves gas and electric customers in Greater San Antonio, selected eMeter’s EnergyIP MDM solution to support more than one million electric and gas Smart Meters.

With its unparalleled scalability, EnergyIP is supporting CPS Energy’s entire Smart Meter lifecycle, which includes asset management, installation support, device provisioning, and automated exception identification and handling. EnergyIP’s seamless integration to CPS Energy’s existing SAP systems is also allowing it to facilitate the utility’s complete meter-to-bill process.

EnergyIP will enable CPS Energy to accelerate outage resolution, provide faster and more hands-on customer service, and provide better-informed reliability planning. It will also lay the groundwork for Demand Response programs that will encourage customers to decrease energy use during peak times via time-of-use pricing.
