Certification recognizes company-wide effort to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices

SAN MATEO, CA. June 3, 2009 – San Mateo based eMeter Corporation, the global leader in Smart Grid management software, today announced it has been officially selected as a green business leader by San Mateo County as part of their award-winning Green Business Program. Recognizing businesses that meet the highest standards of environmental performance, the program exemplifies eMeter’s dedication to conserve energy and promote sustainability on a local, national and global level.

With a core business model enabling the Smart Grid and energy conservation, eMeter has taken further strides in company policy and initiatives to meet and exceed the Green Business certification checklist. Program certification includes rigorous evaluation in overall efforts to conserve energy and water, minimize waste and prevent pollution.
