Naren Prasad is Chief Product Architect, eMeter Corporation; and Chief Managing Director, eMeter India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Prasad has over ten years experience in advanced metering systems, and more than 16 years in IT systems analysis, design, development, integration, implementation, and engineering support. Earlier at CellNet Data Systems, Mr. Prasad was responsible for development of a wide variety of processes and systems to support deployment and operation of advanced metering systems, as well as directing software development. At eMeter, Mr. Prasad had been instrumental in building the Engineering organization; defining and developing processes, building teams in the software development, quality assurance, and product and program management.
Mr. Prasad's extensive experience includes integration of large-scale advanced metering systems with utility legacy information systems. Examples include: utility billing systems, customer resource management systems (e.g., Siebel), meter data collection systems (e.g., Cellnet, TNS, Elster, Sensus and MV-90), a variety of database systems (e.g., Oracle), and numerous other software solutions, such as deployment planning and installation support tools, network and device provisioning systems, monitoring and performance reporting tools, product deployment, monitoring and administration, data synchronization processes with utility systems, and outage and restoration support applications. Mr. Prasad holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India.
