Vice President-General Counsel
Elisa Smith is Vice President-General Counsel of eMeter Corporation, and handles legal and administrative affairs. Ms. Smith previously was with Sideman & Bancroft LLP, where she managed complex commercial, corporate, and real estate transactions for clients, including acquisitions and divestitures of business lines, marketing joint ventures, commercial loans and other commercial transactions. Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft LLP, Ms. Smith was a partner with both Pillsbury Madison & Sutro LLP and Skjerven Morrill LLP.
Ms. Smith was the principal outside counsel working with Mr. Edwards and Mr. King to negotiate multi-year, hundred-million dollar contracts for CellNet Data Systems. Ms. Smith’s experience includes working with large and small companies in a variety of industries, including high technology and energy, and a wide variety of commercial law matters, such as consulting agreements, and service and supply agreements.
Ms. Smith is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco, and holds a J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.
