Former salesforce.com Executive Bobby Napiltonia Joins eMeter to Head up Sales & Alliances

San Mateo, California — January 28, 2010 – eMeter, the global leader in Smart Grid Management software, today announced the addition of Enterprise software industry veteran Bobby Napiltonia as Senior Vice President of Sales and Alliances. With his proven ability to grow companies globally beyond $1B in annual revenue both directly and through channels, Bobby will be responsible for global distribution strategy at eMeter and, ultimately, customer success.

Prior to joining eMeter, Bobby was the Senior Vice President of worldwide channels and alliances at salesforce.com, the global leader in cloud computing. While at salesforce.com, Bobby built the first global partner ecosystem for the Cloud, including alliances with Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte and regional system integrators worldwide. He expanded the solution providers globally and drove reseller strategy.
Previously, Bobby was Vice President and General Manager of worldwide channels and alliances for BEA Systems, where he directed strategy and business models for the company’s worldwide alliance partners including Intel, Computer Sciences Corp., Hewlett Packard Co., and Electronic Data Systems. Prior to BEA, Napiltonia was CEO, president and founder of State Software Inc., a start-up providing a software platform for enabling Web applications. Prior to this, Napiltonia spent 7 years with Creative Labs, which pioneered PC audio and multimedia.
Napiltonia was recognized by CMP Media’s CRN/VARBusiness Magazine as one of North America’s Top Channel Executives in 2005 and 2007 and as a Channel Chief in 2008.
